Reconciliation & Inclusivity

Protecting People. Powering Ontario. Exceeding Standards.

Our Commitment to Reconciliation

As an Ontario contractor working across municipalities, nuclear sites, and public infrastructure projects, we recognize our role in supporting meaningful reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples.

We are proud to be in partnership with 7Gen Industrial, a company founded on the principles of Indigenous leadership and guided by the Seventh Generation Principle—a belief that decisions made today should serve the well-being of people seven generations into the future.

“We don’t just want to do the work—we want to do it in a way that creates lasting, positive impact for all communities.”
— Paul Montgomery, President

Through this partnership and our own hiring, training, and project planning practices, Montgomery is committed to creating space for Indigenous knowledge, participation, and economic opportunity in every region we serve.

Inclusivity That Goes Beyond Policy

Inclusivity at Montgomery is not a checkbox—it’s a mindset. We don’t just hire to meet targets; we hire to build excellence. We evaluate all applicants and team members by one question:

“Can they do the job with integrity and professionalism?”

“If a person is qualified and can do the job, they will be considered equally and fairly.”
— Paul Montgomery, President

We proudly support:

  • Equitable hiring and onboarding practices

  • Ongoing DEI training for team leaders and hiring managers

  • Supportive career pathways for apprentices, new Canadians, women in trades, and underrepresented groups

  • A workplace culture that promotes psychological safety, respect, and mutual accountability

Empowered Teams Drive Safer Projects

We empower our teams with more than just tools—we give them the voice, trust, and support to make informed decisions on site. That’s why every member of our workforce, regardless of background, is expected to:

  • Speak up about safety

  • Take ownership of their role

  • Contribute to inclusive, high-performance crews

Our clients don’t just get electricians and tradespeople—they get trusted professionals who care about the work, the process, and the people involved.

Reconciliation & Inclusivity

A Workforce That Reflects the Communities We Build

At Montgomery Industrial Services, inclusion isn’t a slogan—it’s a standard. From leadership to field crews, we are building a company where people are valued for their capabilities, their work ethic, and their character—not just their resume.

We believe a strong infrastructure begins with a strong workforce, and that strength comes from diversity, opportunity, and respect.

Building Ontario Together—For the Long Term

At Montgomery, we’re building more than electrical systems—we’re helping shape the future of communities across Ontario. That means standing for equity. That means fostering long-term partnerships with Indigenous businesses and local workers. And that means showing up with respect, openness, and professionalism, every single day.

How We Work

Connect with the Right Expert

Call or email our main line. You’ll be promptly connected to the specialist who handles your project type—whether it’s high voltage, municipal lighting, or nuclear infrastructure.

Align Scope & Strategy

We’ll arrange a discovery meeting (online or in-person) to fully understand your needs. From there, we’ll hold a pre-bid kickoff to ensure clarity before preparing your custom, scope-fit proposal.

Execute with Confidence

Once the proposal is accepted, we launch with a kickoff meeting covering schedules, safety, and procurement. Projects are managed with regular check-ins—daily, weekly, or monthly—based on scope.
